Are you brand new in network marketing? Have a little experience but still haven’t mastered how to create prospects who want to listen to your opportunity?

In today’s post, I’m going to share with you how to create instant, pre-qualified prospects by creating negative situation.

When I first started in Network Marketing

When I first started in network marketing, I used to talk down on the concept of “jobs” and by doing that, I was creating prospects who were defending their job and/or circumstances.

So, the purpose of this post is to help brand new people in network marketing, avoid the same common mistake I made when I first started network marketing.

Here’s How Not To Talk To Your Prospect

I remember talking to a security guard when I was very new. The conversation went something along these lines:

Me: You’re a security guard. Oh wow. That must be really hard being on your feet all day and working nights must be tough. I couldn’t work nights. You must get really bored working nightshifts with no-one to talk to. I would be bored out of my head. They couldn’t pay me enough to work nights…

Prospect: Well I’m not on my feet all day, I get to sit down when I’m in the security kiosk. Working nights is ok. In fact we get paid a little extra for working nights because of the unsociable hours. I don’t start work til 9pm when working nights so I get to my kids when they come in from school. I’m actually doing a part-time college course so I get to do my college coursework on my shift because I am on my own, no-one telling me what to do, I’m my own boss practically on nightshift….

You see, because I was negative towards his job, human nature being what it is, he defended his job. And by defending his job, I blew him out of the water and consequently, I did not sponsor him!!!
